i'll be undergoing training.. while FASTING.. AH!!

handle the training.. stuff like SOC, the 16km and 24km route march..

i know very long never blog le la.. kk.. so here is one.. but not gonna have a post for a very long time ar.. exams coming le..

went to eat at eatzi today.. was very worth it ar.. one set meal.. soup + bread, main dish, dessert and tea/coffee.. and was nice too.. haha.. wanted to eat before flying off to australia ar.. and i got my wish.. haha..

after that went to downtown to walk walk for a bit.. went to e!hub for the first time.. looked arnd.. no cash la.. so didn't buy anything.. *sob sob.. haha.. kk.. just kidding..

well today.. saw a few of my 'frens' ar.. haha.. later see the pics..

before eating at eatzi, walked arnd eastpoint mall first and went to this pet shop.. saw something VERY VERY interesting.. well.. saw "wahyudin" la.. but didn't know he can transform..

wahyudin/pudding/wyd the green katak(frog) became "PUDDING THE HAMSTER"
this is the white colour Pudding.. sleeping peacefully in one corner..
and this.. is Pudding.. tanned i guess.. haha.. XP and.. u are like 3 times more expensive compared to the cheapest one there so i guess its not THAT bad.. haha..

walked thru the shop.. saw rabbits, guinea pigs and fishes as well.. oh ya oh ya.. saw crabs too!! haha.. so i guess i saw syafiq as well.. haha.. forgot to take picture la.. but nvm la.. just saying it wud be enough bahz.. XP

and the rabbits just keeps reminding me of alvin.. so can say i saw alvin as well.. =P

and after that went to sportslink.. wanted to look for shoes to bring to australia initially.. but couldn't find.. but found this instead.. haha.. sorry milan.. no offence ar..

boo! been arnd a few ppls blogs and seen the attack on the stagnant and dead ones..
so i'm blogging.. since i'm in the mood anyways.. *bleah!

ytd i went back to XMS.. to go watch the POP' 08 for noraini's ex cadets..
kendrik asked me to go back.. so why not.. since i've not talked to him for ages as well..
so woke up at like 8.. omg.. early la sia.. but cannot help it ah.. that thing starts at 9..
prepared.. ate breakfast then at 9am syafiq picked me up with the red civic..
and here comes the best part.. hehe..
"intro-ed" syafiq's gf, fiqah, to my mum.. hehe.. i was bored.. early in the morning so why not..
just be evil for a little bit.. haha.. when i got into the car.. saw syafiq's WTF face..
and all he could say was "thanks ar hafiz.. thanks.."
i replied "not like this is the first day u know me.." fun rite.. hehe.. XD

k la.. after that.. reach xms.. then met kendrik.. a little intro abt kendrik first..
he is LOUD.. and don't hold back when he got something to say..
well i thought that army might keep him quiet a little but.. I WAS VERY WRONG..
haha.. loud la that guy.. but nvm la.. that's wat made the day fun anyways.. haha..
looked at the graduatin ppl do their POP.. sorry to say this but.. omg.. i couldn't watch..
well one mistake that i can say is that at the end of the POP.. while they were marching out..
one person in the middle of the squad was VERY out of step and it was damn OBVIOUS..
k that's it..

oh ya.. met my cadets too!! llloooonnnggg time never see and talk to them so it was fun..
haha.. asked them abt where they were now.. how they were doing and everything..
its like they are gonna be 17 this year.. but i just can't help see them as those little kids i was left in charge of when i was in sec 3.. they've grown up.. but yea.. just can't forget them when they were still that bunch of uncontrollable kids.. haha..

also walked arnd sch with syafiq and kendrik.. just reminiscing.. talk abt wat happened here and there.. went to NPCC room.. was a big mess.. talked with my ex-squad mates who are now CIs.. was fun.. hope that one day can meet up with every single one of them again.. haha..

hey! been a long time since i've blogged ah..
but well.. was really busy with common test and all..
just came back from RDC '08.. rather tired now ah.. wat do you expect.. 3D2N camp ah..
and therefore.. this post shall be a short one..

to start things off.. common test was overall difficult.. omg..
1. proteomics was a little difficult.. since all the lecs were covered..
2. stem cell was difficult to me.. so much stuff to study.. every lec has at least 30-40 slides.. gg..
3. drug dev... grr... no tips again.. and one damn saq was from e-lec.. damn it..
4. SFG.. lecs 5-7.. lecture notes sux.. i have no idea how to form one saq from one stupid slide with the words so DAMN small and expecting an answer..
5. MBID.. yeah.. was all good except for epidemiology question.. so many things to ask.. just ask that one slide for saq.. yet again..
6. PCT.. ahh!!!!! sooooo much to cover ah.. no tips at all.. =.=
7. EBM.. another no tips paper.. but the paper was rather easy though.. just that at one point i got a brain block.. so was stuck..

yup.. thats abt it for common test week.. now.. shall just wait for results..

after the last paper on friday, i straightaway went back home to get camp stuff..
took a nice long hot shower.. before going back to school for camp..
camp was rather fun ah.. AWL woots~~
we weren't able to complete it but wth.. dun care.. AWL rox!
was game master again la.. so yea.. can show the sadistic side again.. hehe..
but anyways.. was mostly photographer for the camp since saiful couldn't make it..
he passed me 2 of his cameras.. like omg.. damn scary.. if anything happen.. gg.. no $$ to replace la ah.. but then again... his camera rox... the pictures it can take are like so damn great..
love the multi shot feature.. XD

okay.. nothing else le.. too bad.. now.. shall go back to slacking.. before having to panic again from the many many many many many projects that is untouched..

hey hey hey..

ytd was kickoff so here i am blogging abt it..
not much tho.. basically my job was to be in charge of the PA system.. so in the morning.. i set it up with saiful and basically that was it.. haha.. =P just had to check it out once in a while to see whether the system was working fine or not.. but as for this job.. that's about it..

and so.. since i was so free ytd, i helped out with other jobs.
helped saiful with photography.. i really love using his camera.. really syiok.. can take really great pictures with it.. haha.. especially using the multi frame mode.. haha..

most of the time i was hanging out in the middle of the 2 fields under the umbrella.. supposedly the "first aid area" with minfeng, chin boon and saiful.. looking at the matches from the middle.. and seeing minfeng and chin boon flying off whenever someone shouted "MEDIC!!!"
haha..
and since they shouted medic.. the physio *aherm.. shang feng* didn't fly.. just jogged to wherever they needed him with 2 bottles in his hands.. heat and cold spray.. haha..
most of the ppl who shouted medic mostly wanted the heat spray anyways.. haha.. so sf saved them with the all powerful heat spray.. haha..
details as to wat they did u can read at minfeng's and chin boon's blog.. so dunnid for me to repeat it.. haha.. =P

other times i was just walking arnd, talking to the rest of the ppl who were there.. ppl like.... kelvin.. who came with his cousin with this huge camera.. taking pictures of ..
haha.. wat.. cannot see? issit?.. too bad then.. haha.. =P
and there was also wei jie.. who came back to play in his farnie named team again.. this year it was Teenage Mutant Nanyang Turtles (TMNT).. nothing better to do la he.. but the only mutant turtle i saw in his team was him la.. haha.. XD
that bugger is EVIL.. kept "accidentally" hitting me.. but nvm.. hit him back anyways.. haha..

that's abt it for kickoff i guess..

and today.. had drivin real early in the morning.. was all sleepy when i woke up.. not enuff sleep eh.. but nvm la.. driving today was alright.. didn't make so many mistakes as before.. but still had mistakes.. some noob ones even.. hai.. nvm..

when i came back.. i just went back to sleep.. was really tired.. then woke up to find my aunt, uncle and cousin at my house.. haha.. apparently my aunt converted the vcd of her wedding which was originally a video tape into a dvd.. so was watching it with the family just now..
and omg.. i was like only 9 months old when she got married.. haha.. and when i saw myself in the video.. all i saw was this small blur toot looking arnd at everything arnd him..
when the family was taking a family picture.. i was sitting at my uncle's lap.. just looking arnd.. and reaching out to my aunt.. i guess at that time i wanted to be carried by her i guess.. budden as i said.. i was REALLY small.. a small and blur 9 month old kid..

haha.. that's it this time bahz.. will blog next time when something interesting happens..
and tmr is vesak day.. which means i finally get to sleep in.. =D

hey hey.. i suddenly felt shang feng's evil around the corner so i decided to blog ah.. nothing to blog abt actually.. but anyways.. here goes..

well well.. first of all, FO ended a while back.. last week ah.. XD was gamemaster as usual.. and no i'm not complaining.. i like the job k.. first of all.. i dun have to take part in the game but still enjoy it.. and secondly, i dun have to receive any of the gamemaster's ~~sadism~~ kindness ah.. oops..

yup yup.. this year i was in registration as well.. another great job.. seriously.. why?
no no.. its not becoz of the stuff that all of us had to move all over the place.. and no.. its not coz we get to slack a hell lot..
inauguration drink~~ we get to MAKE the drink.. rmb my last post saying that SADISM is good for those who make the drink? well.. i was kinda wrong.. coz we went all sadistic in this one and the drink turned out damn nice to drink.. was watchin the girls make the drink and decided to try it first.. and it really tasted good..
yah yah.. u read correctly.. it tasted great.. no one said anything abt it looking good as well.. *bleah =P
btw.. anyone who wanna know how mucus like the drink was can come to me to see the video.. really sia.. like someone snorted a few months worth of mucus into the tumbler.. haha..

this year helped with the PA system as well.. was fun ah.. except for the transporting and all.. but at least during those times those who were helping with the system got to talk for quite a bit ah.. used it for the first day only and returned it on the second day.. luckily we got the good system this time and not that crappy one we got for the kickoff.. which was really ~~like shit~~..

oh oh.. found out wat track i got into.. was actually kinda scary the way i found out.. sorry shang feng.. but it was really scary.. kk.. this is wat happened.."
sf called.. then told me abt chin boon telling him abt the "e-Online Registration".. he tot that chin boon was screwin arnd with him and was kinda pissed initially coz the 2 electives that was reflected for him was those for biomanufacturing.. then he told me to check mine.. which i did.. initially i tot that i got the same electives as him as well.. so he cooled down a little thinking that it wasn't confirmed yet.. then i took a closer look and i found out that i got those for RnD.. then i told sf and BOOM.. there goes..
so yea.. it was really scary.. and sf.. sorry again ah..

then again.. thinking abt it.. RnD.. gonna be difficult ah.. so now.. having serious doubts abt it ah.. dunno whether i can manage those 2 modules on top of the 7 other core modules i'm taking.. and omg.. i dun believe it ah.. freaking COMM SKILLS AGAIN.. sianz.. i went to sch to buy the book today and it was kinda similar to the one that we used in year one ah.. just that its comm skills 2 and not comm skills 1 which we took.. haha..

and this sat.. going back to XMS after so long to go for homecoming day.. gonna be really nice meetin up again with all my sec sch frens and also my sec2 kids (oops.. not really sec 2 le rite.. graduate le.. haha..)..
and after that... bbq with mb0601 at east coast i guess.. ram still haven't confirmed the details with me so.. yea..

Hey hey.. Got sick of Shang Feng telling me to blog and him sending zombies over so here i am.. blogging.. Nothing much to say la.. But.. rather than more zombies.. i figured.. just blog bahz..

i'll start of with results bahz.. i'm rather satisfied with my results this time.. GPA went up a LITTLE.. but seriously could have done better.. i guess.. the final study semester.. cannot slack bahz.. must pull up GPA.. then i guess after poly might be able to get into good Uni.. haha.. but.. must settle the upcomin semester..
I wonder whether i managed to get into R&D or not..

Days have been filled up with FO stuff since Tuesday.. Registration stuff ah.. nothing much.. EXCEPT MOVING THAT STUPID METAL STANDS... BLARDIE 9 OF THEM.. BLARDIE HEAVY.. JUST 4 OF THAT I NEEDED TO USE MY WHOLE BODY WEIGHT AND SOME FORCE JUST TO MOVE THE DAMN TROLLEY BY 5 (FIVE.. YES.. FIVE) CENTIMETRES..

yup.. oh ya oh ya.. and we had fun thinking of wat to put into this year's inauguration drink.. gonna be real fun.. good thing i got into registration this year.. SADISM is GOOD for those who make the drink.. NO GOOD for others.. really.. HEHE XP
and i guess that's all.. haha..

ok.. i'm trying to keep my cool here.. BUT EXAMS ARE OVER LE!!! even though the final paper was BLARDIE HORRIBLE, i shall not let that spoil my mood.. COZ EXAMS OVER LA SEH! haha.. okay.. now i'm all cooled down.. and NO.. its not becoz of CSF.. XD hahaa~~

now on to better things.. haha.. after the paper me, wyd, cb, imman, nic, sf and darren went to AMK hub.. went to buy 5 tix for "L Change the World" (since darren and sf wasn't joining us) then had lunch at the foodcourt.. while waiting for the movie to start all of us went to the arcade to just SEE sf playing la.. haha..

the show was nice overall ah.. but had nothing much to do with the Death Note case.. =P just about L and his final 23 days to live..
was about this enviromental grp that wants to reduce the number of humans in the world coz they think that too many humans damage nature.. like o.O la.. they can start off by killing themselves.. works too.. reduces the number of humans.. very little.. but still reduced.. haha..

and they used bioterrorism with a pathetic choice of viruses to use.. let's see.. Ebola virus (still okay) fused with influenza (like wtf?!).. smallpox is a way better choice to fuse with Ebola la.. haha.. kk.. that's all i'll say..

oh ya.. exams over means got time to SLACK!! erm.. wat i'm gonna do ah.. that i dunno yet la.. haha.. maybe when i have tot of it then i'll talk abt it in my next post bahz..

wah.. bloggin getting kinda frequent ah.. haha.. well.. dream on la.. starting from tmr i have to start studying for the exams le la.. haha.. =P so this might be my last post for a very long time.. maybe arnd 2-3 weeks? exams end on the 28th ah.. so i might blog on that day.. haha..

well.. nothing much happened today ah.. just that i bought the supplies to make cookies.. yea.. cookies.. so today is about the baking ah.. haha.. first time making ah.. then my mum was teaching me how to make.. surprisingly easy ah.. really.. haha.. but my mum didn't really follow the recipe ah.. let's see.. for example.. oh ya.. the choco chips.. she put like 50g more la.. haha..

so wat happened was i weighed out the stuff needed.. then mixed them accordingly.. then shaped them onto the baking tray.. after shaping them, i put like 2 m&ms on each cookie.. haha.. but it was my first time making ah... so my first batch got some big cookies, some small ones.. but the rest was all rather fine ah.. haha.. got some interesting things that happened as i was making ah.. but not gonna say it now.. haha.. continue below..

Hey hey~~ bloggin again.. =D today is the 2nd day of CNY and i went to the beach!! Pasir Ris Park ah.. let's see.. the ones who went are.. my family, my 6th aunt's family, my 3rd aunt's family and my 7th uncle's family.. exactly how many ppl ah? dunno lehz.. lazy count also.. XP

Hey hey.. =D i know long time never blog le.. SF going on abt the spider webs thing again.. haha.. i was just lazy to blog mahz.. =p well.. so here i am bloggin.. nothing much happened to me recently ah.. just that EXAMS coming le la.. sianz.. must study again.. like ZZZZZZ can.. haha..

kk.. so yesterday when i was in school, my mum suddenly smsed to say that tonight going out for dinner ah.. then she asked where to eat.. haha.. then i dunno ah.. like.. there are sooo many (i'm being sarcastic here) halal food restaraunts.. Swensens (december that time eat le), Pizza hut (last week just eat), naked fish shoppe (erm.. haven go before ah), Ramen 10 (my mother was scared that she cannot eat the food there), MacD, KFC, BurgerKing, Long John's (zzz.. i shud get shot suggesting these places)... so in the end we went to Seoul Garden.. Haha.. =P

so.. reach home le.. took a quick shower then left the house again.. haha.. went to tampines mall seoul garden.. then it was like dinner time.. 5 adults and 1 child.. total $140 liddat.. haha.. k la.. so we got 2 tables.. means 2 soup bases! haha.. it was tom yam and ginseng chicken. so we took the food and all.. cooked it and eat la.. wat else.. haha.. =p eat eat eat.. then we left the place at 10 ah.. haha..

funny thing was my mum really really overate.. when we were in the car on the way home she told my father to stop the car somewhere so that she can walk.. haha.. so my father parked at some residential carpark and she walked.. 10 minutes later then we continued our journey home.. =D

hi hi.. today's the first day of NYP open house. was supposed to meet yong hao at 9 30 but i was a little late.. :P haha.. but i'm still the earliest of the three who were supposed to be there ok... then yong hao sent me up to bring some plates down for display and parafilm those that were not already parafilmed. three of us (me, audz and xb) were in charge of "CSI @ NYP" which is a game about food poisoning on an airplane.. CSI.. food poisoning.. in wat way are they related?! no one died wat.. haha..

so duty started officially at 10. put on our labcoats.. YES.. labcoats.. coz we are apparently 'working' in a lab. i'm in 'lab A' in charge of bacterial count. audz in 'lab B' in charge of agar selectivity test. xb in 'lab c' in charge of antibiotic susceptibility test. basically the first 2 hours of duty was dead boring.. no one came at all.. except for maybe those yr 3s who wanted to act noob. then in the next 2 hours people finally started streaming in so we finally started work.
quite a while into the duty, the three of us started to feel friggin cold and the only 'warm spots' in the room are under the spotlights, so i was under that most of the time.. except for when i was walkin arnd ah.. haha.. then duty ended at 230 liddat..

haha. after duty, the whole group of us went to blk n lvl 6 to take some soy icecream that they made. rather nice ah.. initially all of us took a super small cup but then asked for another big one. haha.. after that audz, xb and ah guan went to this taste sensory test where they were given 5 groups of 4 cups to drink and rank them according to how strongly they tasted.. eww.. not nice i tell u.. i know one cup they put citric acid for the sour taste.. still ok ah.. the last one though.. last row.. they used aginamoto.. is that how u spell it? hmm.. that monosodium glutamate thing ah.. omg.. how horrible is that..

after that all of us went to block q lvl 6 to take a look arnd.. actually i was there to piss wyd and sf off ah.. they were in charge of suppositories.. erm.. its actually about putting medicine up your butt.. yeah.. really.. haha.. they demonstrated ah.. EH.. EH.. chill.. not the puttin up the butt part.. but the making of the medicine; but using cocoa butter instead.. after that we went lookin arnd the lab..

went back to blk n after that ah.. met up with minfeng who was guiding a group with dororin and fang cheng.. followed them do everything for the SCL sch tour.. took damn long seh.. walk and stand arnd until leg pain ah.. so walked arnd.. basically repeated wat happened before.. then finally end the tour then followed them to audi to take their bags ah.. so after that go home lor.. no more story le.. haha.. :P *bleah

hi hi.. long time never blog le.. darling accompanied me to sch early today.. her lesson start at 10 ah.. *hugs.. nice start to a boring day ah.. seriously.. well AK's lecture was great as usual.. i was 100% awake and 100% paying attention. then after that was Neha's med micro... marketing.. and william how's lecture.. almost gave up to my fatigue during his lecture.. omg.. boring + tired does not go well together..

after that got protein tech revision ah.. haha.. better than the lectures (excluding AK's which is the best).. at least was fun.. can talk.. but before that there was a big fuss about this cockroach.. but lesson went on.. some pictures were drawn during the lesson ah.. haha.. took pictures.. then at the end of lesson.. when we were all walking out.. ida accidentally stepped on it ah.. was really funny.. in the end ah guan had to wash her shoes for her.. yesterday while playing badminton, me, sf, nic, wyd was talking about food ah.. wat in particular? erm.. in malay its kerang and siput.. haha.. english ah.. hmm.. clams and escargot? haha.. something liddat ah.. i dunno.. my malay really bad can.. haha..
the amazing thing is that today when my grandma returned from the market, i went to the kitchen to see and guess wat.. she bought siput!! woots!! and i didn't even tell her.. YEA!! my grandma rox!! she said that she felt that someone wanted to eat and there u have it. she bought siput.. haha.. next week she buying kerang!! yeah yeah!!

well since i wanted to eat them so bad, i helped with the cooking. first we had to cut out the back part of the shell so that its easier to get the filling inside later.. while cutting, since they were still alive, tried to climb up the container and escape.. haha.. *no escaping for u all, mwahaha* then they were all washed and cooked *sizzle sizzle* haha.. took a few pictures just now.. dun ask y i took them. just wanted to. =D

AARRGGHH!!!!!!! TOMORROW COMMON TEST START LE!!!! haha.. k.. that was refreshing :P not that i really shouted anyway.. haha! kk first things first this afternoon just returned from chalet with my malay XMS buddies and bruce and leonard. It was fun overall ah but spent most of my time studying anyways. So med micro finish le!! haha. the first nite was cool ah.. tried to sleep but couldn't so me, nerd and, wyd played cards. in the end they ended up teaching me how to play dai dee (dunno spell correct or not) using UNO cards.. yeah.. really.. haha.. then after a few games we got bored and spent the next hour or so playing PS2.. turns out i knocked out kinda early so i left the 2 of them playing on their own. haha.

Study wise i think i'm really in trouble sia... kk.. protein tech finish le.. med micro finish le.. immuno only 3 lectures.. mol gen only 3 lectures.. bioinfo haven start.. marketing haven start.. bioprocess tech also haven start!!! today was a pretty short day in school. just SDS-PAGE during protein tech practical and it was so damn easy ah since i have done it like at least 5 times. and we didn't have to cast the gel ourselves and everything (which is the most irritating and difficult part btw) so yeah.. it was super easy. all we did was load the samples inside.

after that me, alvin, guan, xb and audrey went to peninsula in an attempt to find a suitable jersey for the mb0601/2 combined class jersey. and we didn't find anything at all. haha.. in the end we went walking around, accompanied the girls while they shopped for a while and then the guys went home while the girls went far east. in the end xb, contacted her fren abt making the jersey which will at most be $20 so yeah.. its's at paya lebar though. checking out the place tomorrow most probably

went pool after school today with wyd, cb and mf. alvin and jun yi didn't wanna go so yeah.. it was just us. but we asked leonard along though.. hehe.. long time never play pool with him le so it was kinda refreshing.

pool was nice but some bugger.. no no.. just ONE bugger... had to go and mess it all up by whispering into our ears, showing his face in front of us when we were trying to hit the ball in.. so we messed up most of the time.. actually only me and nerd kept messing up becoz of that BUGGER...

found out i wasn't the only *eherm* hamster in the group! she was supposed to be 'kerang tak tahu malu' and 'chao ta niao' (both given by wahyudin) but now she is a hamster too!! cool hor.. can transform de.. haha.. enuff of that. Yoz!! Played badminton today with Min Feng, Jun Yi, Shang Feng, Wahyudin and Chin Boon. Had a really good badminton day today even though i started off form. So we watched Beowulf which unless i watched just now, didn't know that it was actually an animation. When the movie first started i was like "Are we in the wrong theater?!?!" but then realised i wasn't so... Haha. Beowulf was only so-so ah.. But the action scenes were cool.. Especially the gold dragon!! Woots!~~ Haha..

I know... I know... It's been a long time since i blogged. But i was busy.. Lab reports and irritating projects.. Just couldn't find time to post anything.

Anyways, my bpt group just finished the bpt blog so go over and take a look at it. Its all about fermentation and stuff. Yoz.. Went to school today in the morning for a gym session with Fuh Yuan and Jun Yi. All of us started kinda light and increased the training intensity slowly.. All of us were like "woah.. out of shape le.. no power ..". Even ah guan was having difficulty in lifting the weights. So we were there from 11 to approximately 1 plus. After that we had lunch at mac then met up with shang feng, wahyudin that group. We went to play pool after that and on the way i picked up my Carbonex 8 that i sent for restringing.

Most importantly today, i went to Kelly Poon's 在世界中心 campus concert!! :P haha. While waiting for her to appear, the Foreign Bodies danced on stage. It was kinda interesting as the whole dance followed something like a plot. So ya.. Then Kelly came out!! She was wearing one of the costumes she wore in the SHAKALAKA BABY mv. Yup, you guessed right, she started the concert with that song. Throughout the concert she sang the songs in her new album and told of her times in Taiwan and such. In the middle there was this game section where 5 of the audience had to dance the chorus part in SHAKALAKA BABY. In the end, a girl won the Kelly T shirt. The whole thing was in chinese actually. Luckily for me i know a bit of chinese and don't need Shang Feng's translations.

Well that's all for today then. I don't think i'll have much time starting from next week onwards to blog since the practicals will all be starting. So every night will be like report night. So Zzzzz lor..

Went to school as usual today for lab work.. And yet again my transformants never grow.. Second time le.. Both times i failed.. Zzz... Either the cells are damaged or i just sux at it. I'm beginning to think that its the second one.. Anyways, me and Jun Yi scraped off whatever cells there are on the plates and streaked them on a normal LB plate without Kanamycin.

After that me and Jun Yi met up with Alvin, Min Feng and Chin Boon for lunch at Mac Donalds. As usual i was PSPing while they ate. (Oh ya.. One more day only!!! Woots~!!) Then we went to the sports hall to play BADMINTON!! Haha.. Started by playing a base line match with Chin Boon for 30 minutes. That drained almost all of my energy. But it was fun.. Then we played more matches with the rest. Oh ya.. Never play badminton with Alvin. Ok ok.. Can play with him but never let him play at the back.. Never ever ever ever ever.. Haha.

Yo.. Haha.. my updates getting a little more frequent huh.. :D dunno whether its a good thing or not.

Today at the lab was really bad.. Not very bad but bad anyways if u think in terms of results and doing the lab itself.. The day started off bad. First of all my transformants did not grow. Bloody hell.. Waste my friggin time la yesterday.. But nvm.. That's just the start of it.

Supposed to make SDS-PAGE. no idea why but fail so many times.. gel polymerize too fast.. spill this, spill that.. pipette tip came off.. really waste a lot of time..

When Jun Yi was preparing the sample, he was suppose to use the protein loading dye but he used the protein ladder. dunno why sia.. we are not usually this blur..

We were supposed to streak any growth on the transformant plate onto a new just LB plate.. We dried the thing in an oven.. waste more time ah.. then the cover.. the bloody cover.. not the damn agar.. got bacteria growing on it.. stupid contamination.

The gel that we took damn long to make broke when we were taking out the comb.. bloody hell la... damn irritating la.. the stupid stacking gel was so damn weak that it broke.. Nvm.. i personally remade the damn thing again and luckily it worked fine.

See? damn screwed up day rite? haizz..

Kelvin brought this super old school camera that he bought for $5. Playing and taking pictures with it was very fun. Haha.. I can't remember the last time i looked through a pin hole to take a picture.. We had to manually turn the lens to sharpen the image.. Basically it was really cool for something so old.

Today we took part in the Caltex National Karting Challenge 2007!! Woots~!!

It was super fun. Riding the go kart at super high speeds!! (not really fast if u look at it speedwise but once u are on the kart it will be like "woah.. fast sia") Feeling the G force at the corners! Making split second decisions as to when to exactly turn! Overall the adrenaline rush was great!

Haha. A little too energetic, i know... But ya.. It was seriously fun.

The order of racers were as follows: Shang Feng, Hafiz, Wahyudin and last but not least Syafiq.
The crazy racers SF and Syafiq were at the ends coz SF was supposed to provide the general pace and Syafiq was supposed to compact our overall timing.

Each racer was supposed to take approximately 5 minutes each but the event was so exciting that u wun even realize time flying by. Without even realizing it would be your turn on the track. Yeah.. If possible i would like to join the event again next year.

Haha!! It has been ages since i last blogged.. Why did i start again then? Well... Wahyudin kind of talked me into it.. :P
Lots of things have happened.. Some good.. Others bad.. That's life now isn't it? Best part is that exams are now over and its the holidays. Many things are gonna happen during the hols. First of all, Poly Forum 2007!! Initially i thought that i was scammed into it coz this event needs a lot of commitment. Lots of meetings and plannings and such. But after a while i realised that its rather fun. Meeting all the other people from the other Polytechnics and making new friends (Yo Jun Yi, especially for you since you met Claire huh..) Then next week i'll be going on Superstar Virgo with Jun Yi, Andrew and Yi Ying for the forum.

I also joined a go kart competition. Yup.. Go Kart.. Its on the 5-7 October. This time it was Syafiq who talked me into joining. Then i looked for 3 more people to joined. I got Shang Feng in and somehow (amazingly) he got Wahyudin in too.. Haha.. I was like expecting him to say "NO" and "It's a waste of time and money" but he actually joined. Immanuel too!! So its kinda cool. Looking forward to it.

I'm also continuing my Research Project this semester break. So many things to learn so little time. This time i'll be doing genetic engineering or something like that. Ms Tan was like telling us the projects available and once we heard about this one we volunteered right away. There is also this Brainstorming session that we have to discuss about the future FYP topics that may be used. Nice right? The future topics that you guys may be doing may be the one that has been thought up by us.
We were like going crazy with ideas. All thrown into an idea bank. We saw one article on how Zebrafish can regenerate their damaged heart, another article on how a starfish can grow out from one of its broken arms and another one about this critically endangered animal that can regrow any of its body parts.. Then i was like thinking about Heroes then poof.. An idea came.. SPONTANEOUS REGENERATION.. :P no la.. just kidding.. we were more on the track of organ regeneration and self repair. If we somehow manage to do this we would be filthy rich.. Haha..

Oh ya.. Another thing... Ramadhan is coming again.. So i begin fasting next week on the 13th of September.. I'm not complaining.. Its a good thing really.. Just that 10+ years doing it and it gets kind of boring. So i was like thinking of training to return to my old form. Getting Syafiq to help me with this since he was SUPER SUCCESSFUL in slimming. Yup.. Seriously.. He was like me back then. Haha...

That's all la... I dunno when is the next time i'll be blogging so just in case i may blog again only in the next 6 months, I will say goodbye here and see you all soon.

It must have been ages since i last posted. Haha. A few months i think. But i just can't help it... No free time at all and coupled with the fact that i'm lazy... Ya.. i think u know what i mean.. haha.. The term break is ending and nothing eventful happened at all.. So... overall this break sucks.. Even the kayaking course that i shud have been in i didn't enrol into.. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid..

Another thing is my projects.. I have NOT started on a single one at all... Biostatistics. IT for Life Sciences(actually u can count this out.. :P almost complete neways) and National Education. I'm like so screwed la.. Haizz.. nvm la.. feeling lazy again so that's all for now. Byebye!!

i feel so tired these few days. have no energy to do anything at all. i feel so irritated. it's not like i work my energy off.. it feels like there is just something that is pulling away every single bit of energy i have in my body.. leaving behind this lifeless, useless being. damn it.. 1 more week till school starts.. then i have something i can concentrate on.

on friday, the 6th october, my secondary school malay frens broke fast outside, instead of boring old home. at least it was something different than these past 2 weeks, breaking fast at home. we went to this place called 'kampong chai chee'. sorry.. forgot to say who went. well.. there was me, syafiq, asri, siswand, atikah, noraini, zuli, noraini's bro and cousin. yup.. i think that's all.. It was overall quite interesting a day.
when we arrived at the restaurant, we started talking crap, really crap topics. haha.. talked and talked and talked. asri made everyone laugh with his crazy antics and all. we alll talked then we realised we have 15 minutes to break fast time and we haven't even ordered our food. so we quickly ordered some food and waited and talked summore crap stuff. :P well the food arrived right on time and we broke fast while talking about summore crap stuff.. (omg.. really lots of crap sia..)

after breaking fast we went to the bazaar to take a look around.. it's the same as last year.. but somehow i felt that just wasn't enough festive energy in the air.. made the whole thing damn boring la.. we (actually the girls did more work) helped asri look for a nice baju kurung for his gal , jolyn. it had to be purple, coz his own baju was purple. we all looked around and around the bazaar until asri saw one that he liked. he decided to come next time with jolyn to buy the baju..
it was already 10pm then. we all decided to go home, so we went to the bus stop.. haha.. here's the fun part.. we had a crazy photo session at the bus stop. taking all kinds of crazy photos.. one was like this. there was this hole in the wall and we all stick our heads inside (yesh.. all of us), and took a photo.. sorry.. dun have the photo now to post.. maybe 2moro after i get it from zuli..

overall that day was kinda fun. with all the crazy stuff that we did.. i just wish that more of days like that would happen.. then my life would be much more interesting than it is right now... well, i guess that is something i have to improve on..

got my timetable today.. damn sick... really really sick.. compared to my timetable for semester 1... it's like... OMG... haizz... cannot take it... summore got 5 practicals a week... semester 1 got 2 practicals only and i was like lazy to do reports... now got 5... 5 ah... omg 5... how to do reports... monday got 2 hours cell biology and 3 hours bio chemistry practical... tuesday got 2 hours organic chem and 3 hours IT for Life Science practical... hursday got 3 hours microbiology b practical.. total in a week.. 5 practicals ==> 13 hours a week.

must play lots and lots of games now.. semester 2 will have no time de... play play play.. tried RAN Online today.. something like MU Online and Silkroad.. but in a japanese school environment.. characters are school teenagers that fight.. haha.. like gansters.. got 3 schools: Sacred Gate, Phoenix and Mystical Peak. then at times got school battles. the mosters are the strange ones.. mutated human beings.. haha.. the first one is 'little thugs' second monster 'little hime'... the mosters are like sooo ugly.. haha nvm bahz.. just try to play.. quite interesting, so why not.

Now, Asri also introduced Space Cowboy to me.. looks intersting but dunno want to dl or not.. too many games in my com le.. haha. nvm. next time can try.

Today is the 7th day of fasting. 1 week already! :D haha. nothing to be happy about really.. Just my crazy antics acting up again. :D Today my 5th aunt's and 7th uncle's family coming over to break fast with us. We'll be eating...

Everytime got people coming over to eat, confirm, definitely, 100% my grandma cook that. Eat with chicken curry!

I must be like game crazy nowadays.. Downloading RAN Online to try out the game. Haha..Nvm.. It's alright for now but once semester starts must be serious liaoz.. Study. Study. Study. Must get a higher GPA next semester. I wonder how next semester will be like. Microbiology B, Cell Biology, Organic Chemistry, IT for Life Sciences.. Wonder if those are interesting. Lookin rorward to Micro B and Cell Bio though. Shud be fun bahz. And it's wyd's time to shine with IT. Good then. Got anything i dunno can ask him.

Received an e-mail from mentor saying that i have been shortlisted to be in the research team together with a bunch of my 0601 mates, Jun Yi, Fang Cheng, Yi Tian, Yan Ping, Audrey, Xiao Bin, Zhi Yuan, Wan Rong, Zhuang Yan.
Kinda cool. Waited soooo long for this. But have to go for an interview on the 11 Oct to see which
research topic we are interested in. For me? Of course something to do with virology.
Really can't wait to start.
We all also got nominated to attend NYAA Gold Award Presentation.

Let's see... Today is the 5th day of fasting.. Sianzz... Nothing to do at home.. Makes the day feel so long..
If there is school then i would be so preoccupied with work that i dun realize time passing by.. Haha..
Must find something to do.. I can't keep doing the same thing everyday... I'll go crazy.. :-P

Started watching Ragnarok the Animation... Just to kill my boredom.. At episode 10 already..

my first post on this site. don't really know why i made this but...
i guess i just needed a place where i can write out what i'm thinkin about.
i just started thinkin a lot lately... important stuff, stupid stuff, even stuff that are irrelevent to me..
must be the effects of staying at home all the time during this holidays..

Well anyway, today is the 4th day since fasting month began. Sianzz...
been fasting for i think 10 years now.. kinda strange but my poly friends think that it's amazing
not to eat anything at all for 12 hours.. 12 hours only wat...
Alvin even said that if he fasts... and if u want him to break fast.. just put a chocolate bar in front of him..
haha.. i guess it will be so for first timers who just started to fast..

My sis started fasting this year... Amazing really.. Didn't even complain a bit..
Except for the first day i guess... 10 minutes to break fast period she suddenly can't take it..
haha..
needed the whole family to comfort her.. talk to her.. so that she forgot that she was fasting...
wooshh.. 10 minutes went by... break fast time already... but my sis ate so little even though
she was like suffering 10 minutes ago.. haha..
